We recover data from Synology DiskStation NAS units using SHR, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6 and RAID 10, on ext4 and Btrfs volumes.

Problems we recover from
- “Volume crashed” or “Storage pool degraded” errors
- Failed drives and interrupted repairs
- Deleted shared folders
- Ransomware-encrypted volumes, where snapshots or unencrypted data exist
If DSM says the volume has crashed, don’t click Repair or remove drives. Shut the NAS down, label the drives with their bay numbers and bring them in.
How it works
We assess the drive, tell you what’s wrong and what recovery will cost, and only go ahead when you agree. We work on a copy of the drive wherever possible, so your original isn’t put at further risk.
