A cracked, flickering or blank screen is the most common laptop repair we do. We stock panels for the popular Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS and Acer models, so many screen replacements are finished the same day.
Screen faults we fix
- Cracked or shattered panels after a drop

- Flickering, or a picture that only appears at certain angles
- Dim or black screen where the backlight has failed
- Touchscreens that no longer respond
- Loose or broken hinges pulling on the display cable
Is it the screen or something else?
Plug the laptop into a TV or monitor. If the picture looks fine there, the fault is almost certainly the panel, its cable or the backlight. If there is no picture on the external screen either, the problem is more likely the graphics chip or motherboard, and we will diagnose that before quoting.
We fit a panel that matches the original resolution, refresh rate and connector, including high-refresh and OLED panels on premium and gaming models.
Questions we get asked
How long does a screen replacement take?
When the panel is in stock, usually a few hours. Less common panels are normally sourced within two to three working days.
Will I lose my files?
No. A screen replacement doesn’t touch your storage, but we always recommend a backup before any repair.
