What to do first after an attack
- Disconnect the affected computer from the network and Wi-Fi, but don’t switch it off or wipe it.
- From a different, clean device, change the passwords for your email and banking.
- Don’t pay a ransom or call numbers shown in pop-ups.
- Call us, and report it to the police’s fraud and cyber crime reporting service.
